The most silly thing I ever heard is about flat earth. What makes people think that earth is flat? When you clearly read it in your science books about the planet system and their revolutions, how can someone argue about earth being flat. This idiotic argument has reached new level when my friend Zain debated about this last evening at the basketball court with Daniel. Daniel is my benchmate. We are close and have known each other for 7 long years. After my high school botany class, I headed towards the basketball court to meet Daniel. To my surprise, Daniel was in a serious argument with Zain. He was losing his temper. I tried to cool him down. Zain started using vulgar language to provoke Daniel. I felt like he was intentionally trying to get into a fight. I read somewhere ‘The best way to win an argument is to avoid one’ and with fools you must definitely avoid one! I pulled Daniel back and urged him to stop the argument. We then headed towards the canteen. On our way to the canteen, I asked Daniel what the argument was about. “Zain believes earth is flat” Daniel said.
I couldn’t stop my laugh.
“All this fight was for this silly thing” I said.
“Not silly for all”, Daniel said.
We all have perspectives but at that moment I realised that maybe it is not necessary for everyone to have the same opinion. Our opinion is our personal thing and so does every other person’s opinion. I changed the topic and we were happy again. Believe me I still feel the silliest thing I ever heard is still about flat earth but now I don’t judge people for having an opinion. So next time you argue about flat earth I won’t call you an idiot!!
