Did you know that you have an energy field inside and around you? Yes, our body is comprised of particles that are constantly vibrating and creating energy!
To some of us, the concept of energy fields in the human body may sound more spiritual than science.
Everything in the universe has a “Rhythm”. It is constantly vibrating and in motion. In fact, objects that appear to be stationary are also vibrating or resonating at some frequencies. You see “Rhythm” everywhere!! You see it in Seasons, Tidal patterns, Sunrise and Sunset, Heartbeats, Breathing, Human moods, Day and night, Biological-clock dependent activities like wake up / sleep, and even Stock markets!! And then there are much smaller vibrations happening at the cellular level inside our bodies too.
Scientists have discovered that vibrations and it’s associated electromagnetic energy could cause changes in the body cells, which can in turn affect how our body functions. Different molecules vibrate at different frequencies — and those frequencies can increase or decrease if conditions around the molecules change. For example, the temperature can change the speed of a molecule’s vibration.
What is the relationship between thoughts, behaviors and body rythm?
Indians have known for a long time that thoughts and behaviors affect the rhythms in your body. For example, fear or anxiousness triggers the release of stress hormones which in turn stimulate the heart rate to speed up or slow down. Similarly, the sound vibrations created by music, affect our thoughts, emotions and even bodily functions. It’s possible to speed up or slow down the vibrations that occur at the cellular and atomic levels by changing our thoughts, behaviors and surroundings.
Changing these micro-level vibrations could have an outward ripple effect, that could change our mental state and physical health.
If you are thinking that all this may / may not be true? Then read on….
Have you ever heard someone saying “I was fine until a few days ago, and now all of a sudden for no reason my health seems to be going downhill….” Well it was not without a reason. If you speak to that person, you would know that he / she would have had some stress or unpleasant experience (maybe a break-up, divorce, fight or an argument with friends or family, fear, anxiety, exam preparations, overtime at work etc… )
Whenever you are in a state of fear, anxiety or constantly thinking about some unpleasant experience, you will see that the “Rhythm” of your Breathing changes….your Heart Beats faster than normal, your adrenal glands then starts releasing cortisol hormone into your bloodstream….you start feeling low….you are unable to eat, you will see changes in your Sleep pattern etc. You will see that one thing had a cascading effect on so many other things. Your body is no more following the usual Rhythm!
However, you can get the control back in your hands, before it’s too late…..
A few simple ways –
Rhythmic deep breathing
Rhythmic deep breathing can help realign your vibration energy.
In Yoga, it is said that slow, controlled breathing can calm your heart rate and stimulate the areas of your brain that influence:
- Comfort
- Relaxation
- Emotional control
- Well-being
Meditation
This involves comfortably sitting or lying down in a quiet area, focusing your attention on body sensations / on a specified word / object, and allowing your responses to change as you meditate. Mediation may help change your blood pressure, reduce your pain sensitivity, affect your mood, help alleviate the symptoms of – insomnia, anxiety, depression
Outdoor immersion (Environment)
To increase your vibrational energy, get out into nature as often as you can!! Exposure to natural sounds, sunlight, fresh air, going to beaches or water falls and greeneries are all believed to benefit you.
Yoga
Yoga helps in achieving the perfect harmony between Mind and Body.
Healthy relationships
Healthy relationships raise your vibration levels, while conflicts in your relationships has a detrimental effect. If you want to reduce your stress levels, and live a longer and healthier life, then it is imperative that you maintain a good social network like friends, family and other social connections to share your thoughts, interests, to have brain stimulating conversations, give you a sense of belonging and self worth…
