Watermelon juice

As Summer is at our doors, we are already feeling the heat. To quench the thirst, Watermelon is the perfect recipe, it’s sweet and juicy.

Watermelon, is one of the fruit which is liked by people of all ages.

Here are some of the benefits of Watermelon:

  • It’s made of 92% water, so it keeps you hydrated.
  • It is packed with variety of nutrients, including potassium, magnesium, and vitamins A and C. It’s also relatively low in calories.
  • It helps improve your exercise performance
  • May have anticancer effects
  • May improve heart health
  • May reduce inflammation and oxidative stress
  • May relieve muscle soreness
  • May aid skin health

For me watermelon tastes good when I eat it directly as a fruit. But my kids like it in the form of juice.

Here is the recipe for the same:

  • Watermelon πŸ‰ Sliced and De seeded
  • Enough to fill a glass
  • Lime Juice (1/2 Teaspoon)
  • Sugar (1/2 Tablespoon) – substitute it with honey
  • Serve with Ice cubes and Mint leaves on top

You can also add chia seeds (sabja) to add more taste to the juice. soak the chia seeds separately in water for 10 minutes. Add it to watermelon juice and drink it chilled.
