5th October 2022 is celebrated as Dasara or Vijayadashami across the country to celebrate the victory of good vs evil. As per epic Ramayana, it was on this day Ram killed Ravan and the triumph of Good vs Evil.
Many part of the country also celebrate this day as Vijayadashmi to mark the victory of Durga Mata over buffalo demon Mahishasura.
The day marks the end of 10 day Durga pooja, with celebrations, prayers and sweets.
